Phenological Gearbox

Phenological Gearbox is a data-driven installation supported by the Design Informatics Institute at the University of Edinburgh and part of Edinburgh Science Festival 2024.

The work translates environmental and seasonal data into a tangible mechanical experience, inviting visitors to explore how urban ecologies change over time.

It was awarded first place in the art open call for the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) DEP Project — Navigating Urban Ecologies, and exhibited at the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
